How to Make Ponnaganti koora Pappu



Ponnaganti koora Pappu is a simple recipe of lentils cooked with Ponnaganti leaves and then tempered with basic spices.Thia dal is quick to make and doesn't need a lot ingridiants.Serve it with rice and roti. Ingredients
1.Toor dal - 1 cup (cooked toor dal) 2.Ponnaganti leaves - 1 bunch 3.Onion - 1 4.Green chilly - 2 5.Turmeric powder - 1/4th spoon 6.Red chilly powder - 1 spoon 7.Jeera - 1/2 spoon 8. Musturd seeds - 1/2 spoon 9. Dry red chilly - 1 10. Garlic cloves - 3 11.Hing - 1 pinch 12. Curry leaves 13. Tamerind juice -1/2 cup 14.Salt 15.Oil - 3 spoons tsp 16.Green chilly - 1 COOKING PROCESS
How to make Ponnaganti koor pappu: Add dal in a pressure cooker.Rinse it very well until water runs clear.Poue 2 cups of waterand cook for 2 whistles.Heat a kadai with oil and add jeera,musturd seeds, garlic,dry red chilly and curry leaves. Saute well for 1 minute.Add chopped ponnaganti leaves, onion and green chilly. Saute for 3-4 minutes on mediem flame.Add cooked dal, turmeric powder,salt,Tamerind juice and red chilly powder. Mix well.Add 1 cup of water mix well and for 5 minutes on low flame.Serve dal with rice or roti.
